Since first opening their doors to the public on October 1st of last year, Woody’s Classic Grill has caught major buzz in the surrounding area and has become a staple in the Grand Terrace community. To celebrate an exemplary year, Owner Michael “Mike” Miller & his phenomenal staff hosted a one-year anniversary celebration at the restaurant that included music, games for the family, and prizes that both event goers and customers could win.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was also held at the event where notable members of City Hall were present alongside members of the Lions Club. Among those members was Mayor Darcy McNaboe, who presented Mr. Miller with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the City of Grand Terrace. The Lions Club, a nonprofit organization, also awarded Woody’s a certificate of appreciation on behalf of their organization.

Woody's Classic Grill credits its wide success to both the City of Grand Terrace and the surrounding communities. When asked in interview Mike exclaimed that; while he has owned other restaurants previously within his extensive 45-year career of being in the restaurant business, Woody’s is “something magical” and that “We are certainly blessed in the amount of business we receive from the guests, and also from how happy the guests are when they’re eating here,” Miller exclaimed.

With a 4.5 star rating on Yelp, a sound concept based off nostalgic 50’s beach culture, and a menu packed with delicious food with a twist. Quality cannot be denied here at Woody’s. Both Mike and his business partner Chef Miguel Huerta are responsive and thinking about the customer over anything else when creating menu items.

Woody’s pride’s itself on how in-touch they are with the community and on their friendly and informative staff that deliver great service with even better food. Any inquiry a customer has holds high priority amongst the restaurant which is evident in both their customer service and menu selection. In-turn of this milestone of a very successful first year, Woody’s plans on adding breakfast items on the lunch menu as well as adding lunch items to the breakfast menu in response to customer requests. As well as adding additional new and exciting items too.

Coming off the back-end of a good opening year Woody’s is optimistic about its future and hopes to possibly expand in the distant future, but before that they said they are “Not yet done with our Grand Terrace location yet, but they would like to expand to other cities.” Owner Mike Miller also offers advice to the business owners out there that helped accredit to his success in creating such a  great restaurant; “Passion.” The simple desire to be the best, evenly matched with the fear of failure is the driving force that allows Woody’s to serve quality service, and good food, all at a reasonable price.

If you’re ever looking for an amazing meal in a sunny environment, with staff that welcome you like you've been family for years, come on down to Woody’s Classic Grill and see just why the community has come to love it so much.
