The Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD) at the University of Redlands is partnering with JCPenney, and the local community, to help “Suit Up” students and alumni with professional attire this Sunday at the JCPenney Redlands Town Center location.

“Everyday, OCPD helps students and alumni with the tools and skills needed to navigate their future careers,” said Kelly Dries, OCPD executive director. “We know the importance of professional attire, and we also know that financial constraints can put it out of reach. This event makes career dress apparel, shoes, and accessories more attainable through a substantial discount from JCPenney and through those who help with donations to fund assistance for students and alumni demonstrating financial need.”

The University has started a crowd funding site with the goal to generate funds to assist students who attend the event. Those interested in supporting can visit redlands.edu/project/16280 to donate.

In addition to shopping for career apparel, students and alumni can receive a free mini makeover at Sephora (inside the store), a free hair consultation in the JCPenney Salon, and take specially priced professional headshots at JCPenney Portraits. U of R students interested in attending can register at [../Downloads/bit.ly/suit-upstudents]bit.ly/suit-upstudents and alumni can register at [../Downloads/bit.ly/uorsuit-up]bit.ly/uorsuit-up.
