Titans Take Down the Bruins

Grand Terrace went into the game with their backup Quarterback Jeremiah Ramirez #17, which was the first Varsity game of his career. Bloomington Bruins were coming off a loss in their first league game and were looking to bounce back with a win over Grand Terrace.

Grand Terrace Titans started the game out hot scoring the first touchdown of the game. David Gusta #60 for a rushing touchdown.

At the start of the 2nd quarter, Titan’s own Defensive Tackle, David Gusta #60 ran the ball for a 6-yard touchdown run. Grand Terrace up 14-7. 

Just before halftime, GT had the ball on the opponents side but weren’t able to convert turning over the ball on downs giving Bloomington the ball with 3 minutes left.

First play, David Gusta #60 sacked the Bloomington QB for a 8-yard loss. After Bloomington passed for a first down, Gusta #60 tackled the QB for a loss on a read option play that was blown up.

After a 4th down stop Titans got the ball back on their own 45-yard line with a minute left. Grand Terrace couldn't get a first down and punted the ball to end the 2nd quarter. 14-7

At the start of the second half, Bloomington received the ball first. With 3rd and 22 the Titan's forced an incomplete pass forcing Bloomington to punt.

Grand Terrace Titans starting their first drive on the 50-yard line and after a 34-yard pass to Lonzel Bradford #13 down at the 1-yard line. After a 10- yard penalty. Bradford #13 got the snap at QB and ran it to the left corner of the endzone for an easy rushing touchdown. 21-7.

Bloomington was stopped on GT’s side that made them punt the ball, punt Returner Lonzel Bradford #13 dropped the punt as Bloomington recovered on the 11-yard line. A couple penalties put them in bad field position that made them fail on downs on the 9-yard line. Grand Terrace was forced to punt after the drive. 

Bloomington made a quick strike with a 47-yard pass touchdown to Christian Yanez #21 from the QB.

Bloomington’s MLB Julian Reyes #18 intercepted the ball from a pass by QB Jeremiah Ramirez #17. With 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter and the score 28-14, on 2nd and 10,in the redzone David Gusta #60 took down the QB #3 For a sack. David Gusta #60 and Luke Vargas #50 for the QB sack making it fourth down. Bloomington punted the ball to GT.

Lonzel Bradford #13 at QB gets the snap finds a hole and breaks off a few tackles running down the sideline breaking off for a 85-yard touchdown run. Extra point blocked and the score is now 34-14.

Grand Terrace kicked off the ball to Bloomington to Christian Yanez #21 at the 20-yard line and took off down the sideline for an 80-yard run back for a touchdown 34-21.

Lonzel Bradford #13 ran for the play of the game breaking almost 7 tackles elusively breaking off down the left sideline for a 49-yards QB run. 41-21.

The Titans ended the night by kneeing the ball with a score of 41-21 Titans. Grand Terrace stepped onto the field as a team ready for war and balled out till the end to get the win!
