Grand Terrace Titans is looking to start out hot on offense and keep the defense off the field to finish the game hard with their defense.

Bloomington Bruins have had their best start in years coming into league play (2-3) but rolling in with a 3-game losing streak looking to bounce back and surprise the Sunkist League.

Grand Terrace in their first drive is looking to win the battle at the line of scrimmage with 7 running plays but a fumble by Malachi Morrison #25 gives Bloomington the ball at their own 11-yard line.

Bloomington has gotten 2 first downs off running plays to get to the 45-yard line. Next play the quarterback got plowed by David Gusta #60 to force a punt by Christian Yanez #21 down to the 25-yard line of Grand Terrace.

Grand Terrace continuing their powerful running game with Anthony Valencia #33 breaking off through the middle for a 38-yard scamper tackled down at the 14-yard line. Next play Mekhi Lewis #12 rips it to Dominic Balderrama #19 in the middle of the field to walk it in for a touchdown.

Grand Terrace started their drive at the 45-yard line when Mekhi Lewis #12 hitting Lonzel Bradford #13 for a first down and Jeremy Massey #37 running for a 20-yard gain then a 11-yard touchdown running over 4 Bloomington defenders leaving one holding on for dear life.

Bloomington got 2 first downs by the speedy Emilio Arriaga #23 but after a bad handoff for a fumble GT jumped on it. Lewis #12 threw a 38-yard bomb into the basket for Bradford #13 for his second touchdown of the game. Pushing the lead to 21-0.

Another 25-yard run by Arriaga #23 is firing up this Bloomington squad that is getting beat up. They tried to throw off Grand Terrace defense with a deep pass but Williams #4 intercepted the bad pass. Setting up Lewis #12 to throw a quick pass to Bradford #13 and he did the rest juking the cornerback then burnt the whole defense sprinting to the end-zone for a 78-yard touchdown.28-0 going into halftime.

Going into halftime, Bloomington has had good starting drives but they end fast with turnovers so if they want to get back into this game, Bloomington has to take care of the ball. Grand Terrace has been bailed out by Lewis #12 spectacular 3 passing touchdown performance so far, but their running game keeps leaving them, trying to convert on 3rd and longs.

Coming out of halftime, Williams #4 return the kickoff 76 yards weaving through the right side and broke loose running to the left side of the field taking it to the house!

Bloomington using their bread and butter, Arriaga #23 running up the middle for 10 yards for a first down. Not being able to run the ball left Bloomington Bruins punting the ball.

Lewis #12 favorite target is Bradford #13 after throwing 2 first downs to him, setting up Lewis #12 for a 3-yard rushing touchdown showing he’s a dual threat that can hurt any opposing defense through the air or with his feet.

Bloomington Bruins starting deep in their territory after a bad kick return but after a 13-yard run by slippery Arriaga #23 they have a manageable 3rd and 5. Bloomington got a first down with an 8-yard run. The drive ended with a punt by Bloomington for 35 yards.

Jeremy Massey #37 for 14, 9, and 20 yards first down runs is punishing this Bloomington defense. Massey #37 caps the drive off with a 16-yard touchdown running in untouched.

Bloomington Bruins would run the clock out to not risk injuries for next week’s game. Grand Terrace Titans made it seem like a scrimmage defeating Bloomington Bruins 49-0. Grand Terrace Titans bounced back from last week’s lost with a win in their first Sunkist league game to start on their long road to repeating as Sunkist League Champs.
