LifeHouse Theater is pleased to premiere its newest family musical, “The Snow Queen: A Frozen Fairytale.”  The classic Hans Christian Andersen story, made popular by the Disney movie, storms onto the LifeHouse stage, bringing new characters, princesses, heroes and exciting new challenges.  An enchanted kingdom is under siege by an evil imp with some icy plans for a pair of royal sisters.  A cursed mirror gives the eldest princess a cold heart as she transforms into the Snow Queen.  It’s up to her sister to try to redeem her and warm her heart, but she faces a chilly reception.  This world premiere musical is a delight for all ages!

“The Snow Queen: A Frozen Fairytale” performances began on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 7:30pm and will continue on weekends through March 25, 2018. Performances are Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 2:15 PM (except Opening Night) and 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 2:15 PM.  In addition to the weekend performances, there will be a special weekday performance on Thursday, March 22 at 7:30pm.  The performance on Friday, March 9, at 7:30 PM will also feature an interpreted presentation for the deaf.

Regular advance ticket prices for each production are $19 or $25 for adults and $9 or $12 for children ages 3-11 (no children under 3 are admitted) and can be purchased over the phone with a Visa or MasterCard by calling (909) 335-3037.  Tickets are available online at boxoffice.lifehousetheater.com. Checks can also be mailed to LifeHouse, provided reservations are made far enough in advance.  Tickets may also be purchased in person at the box office, which is open Fridays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and one hour prior to performance times on the weekends.  Tickets are $2 more the day of the performance. Group rates are available for groups of ten or more.  Guests are encouraged to reserve seats early as performances do sell out.

“It’s always a special thrill to debut a new musical at LifeHouse Theater, especially one that can be enjoyed by all ages,” commented Wayne R. Scott, founder and president of LifeHouse Theater.  “Those who think they know the story will be delightfully amazed at this adaptation.  Toe-tapping music, along with an inspired story and additional surprises, will make this a captivating experience.”

Marie Arevalo makes her LifeHouse directorial debut with this production.  Joining Arevalo is assistant director Cathy Flores, who also wrote the script and lyrics.  The remaining production staff includes music directors Autumn Manson and Jacob Williams, choreographer Jennifer M. DeWitt, assistant choreographer Alyssa Quast, production assistant Priscilla George, and costume designer Cristy Wiley.  Scenic design, sound and lighting are by Mark Perrenoud and Vinnie Martinucchi.

“The Snow Queen: A Frozen Fairytale” features Breonne Disney as Eirlys, the Snow Queen and Maegan Alfaro as her sister Lyvia.  Also featured are Kyle Ryan as the woodsman Kai, Jacob Williams as the kindly tutor Jeeves, Julie Carlson as Gerda, John Griffith as the evil imp Abigrim, Jacob Michel as the vain Prince Hildebrand, Amanda Brinegar and John Solly as the King and Queen of Andor, and Oling Richey, Sr. as the wild Arteus the Astounding.

Following this new musical production, LifeHouse Theater’s 24th season continues with the return of the award-winning original musical “Joseph!” (April 7 - May 13, 2018), followed by “Anne of Green Gables” (May 26 - July 1, 2018), “Tom Sawyer” (July 14 - August 19, 2018) and “The Disciples of Jesus” (September 1 - 30, 2018).  Money-saving season passes are now on sale at the LifeHouse Theater Box Office.
