Grand Terrace High School Football Titans traveled to Oak Hills High School last Friday to scrimmage against a few prominent teams. Teams in attendance were Diamond Ranch, Quartz Hills, and Oak Hills. It was definitely a line to see how much talent the teams had and what the coaches needed to work on for the upcoming season.

Grand Terrace Freshman team held their own against a few very tough opponents in the scrimmage. Their defense played really aggressive making the other teams work for a touchdown and even for a first down. Offensively they scored a few touchdowns showing an aggressive run. First offense will be exciting to watch for in the season opener versus J.W. North this Thursday and Friday.

Junior Varsity and Varsity played hard and they were hitting the opponents in the mouth with deep passes to catch the opponents off guard. Varsity’s player Mekhi Lewis was slinging the ball to his receiving core looking as if their chemistry is back on track with all the receivers returning from last from year’s team. The receivers being Lonzel Bradford, Dominic Balderrama, Corey Young, and Garrett Ostrinski. Grand Terrace played like they were in Mid-Season form and it is going to be exciting to watch all season.

Come out to support your local football Titans as well as the U.S. Military Veterans that will be honored at the Annual Veteran’s Night on August 23, 2019.
