The popular and suspenseful tale of the mysterious Phantom comes to LifeHouse Theater in the return of the smash-hit original musical.  Guests will witness young Christine’s rise to fame in the opera world, thanks to the schemes of the ominous Phantom, who seeks to win her heart.  Sinister plots abound amidst comedic moments and tragic situations based on the original classic novel.

Premiering in 2017, the popular musical performed to a sold-out 5 weekend run.  Due to overwhelming demand, LifeHouse Theater is pleased to bring the musical back to the stage.

Performances begin Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 7:00 PM and will continue on weekends through March 17, 2019.  Performances are Fridays at 7:00 PM, Saturdays at 2:00 PM (except Opening Night) and 7:00 PM, and Sundays at 2:00 PM.  In addition to the weekend performances, a special Throwback Thursday evening performance, with special pricing, will be offered on March 14 at 7:00 PM. The performance on Friday, February 22, at 7:00 PM will also feature an interpreted presentation for the deaf.

Regular advance ticket prices for each production are $20 or $26 for adults and $10 or $13 for children ages 3-11 (no children under 3 are admitted) and can be purchased over the phone. Checks can also be mailed to LifeHouse, provided reservations are made far enough in advance.  Tickets may also be purchased in person at the box office, which is open Fridays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and one hour prior to performance times on the weekends.  Tickets are $2 more the day of the performance. Group rates are available for groups of ten or more.  Guests are encouraged to reserve seats early as performances will sell out.

In addition to the regular run, LifeHouse Theater is presenting a special performance of “Phantom of the Opera” on Valentine’s Day, February 14.  This specially priced performance includes a pre-show refreshment period that features an interactive time with the cast, a rose for each woman in attendance, and a special dessert at intermission.  Ticket prices for this special are $40 each.

"I was completely overwhelmed by the positive response to our original run of this production,” comments LifeHouse President Wayne R. Scott, who wrote and directed the musical.  “By staying true to the novel written by Gaston Leroux, we were able to create an amazing tale to be told with fresh and redemptive angles audiences have come to appreciate in our productions.”

Scott has teamed with professional television music composer Zach Marsh, who has worked with him in creating the contemporary score, lyrics and orchestration. Scott’s production staff includes assistant director Dane Bundey, choreographers Jennifer M. DeWitt and Tai Dooley, music directors Sarah Pearce and Jeremy Yeo and costume designer Megan Bundey.  Scenic design is by Vincent Martinucci with lighting design by Zachary Michel.

This original musical adaptation features a cast of more than thirty performers from all over the Inland Empire.  Haven Fair plays Erik, the Phantom of the tale.  Alisha Doussett plays Christine Daae and Jordan Crother plays Raoul.  The production also features Diana Handy as Carlotta Guidicelli, Olin Richey, Sr. as Pierre Dubois, Maegan Alfaro as Meg Giry, Dave Hurley as Armand Moncharmin, Michael Slusser as Firmin Richard, Duane Crother as Gerrard Sorelli, Nick Diliberto as Commissioner Mifroid and Priscilla George as Madame Giry.

LifeHouse Theater’s 25th silver anniversary season continues in with the return of the award-winning and critically-acclaimed “Pilgrim’s Progress” (March 30 - April 28, 2019), followed by “Treasure Island” (May 11 - June 9, 2019), Disney’s “Mary Poppins” (June 22 - July 21, 2019), “Les Miserablès: A New Drama” (August 3 - September 1, 2019) and “Cinderella” (September 14 - October 20, 2019).  Money-saving pro-rated season passes are now on sale at the LifeHouse Theater Box Office.
