The Amputee Connections of Redlands & Corona/Riverside is hosting their eighth annual fundraising effort. They are a volunteer based nonprofit amputee resource support group with members with a variety of amputated limbs. Throughout the year they collect donations to continue advocating for the disabled and to members to educational activities through scholarships. The Amputee Connections Group thrives on sending amputee kids to camp and is one of their main events. In 2017 they sent three kids and three family members to Camp No Limits in Big Bear Lake. This camp is for children with limb loss and limb deficiency. Camp No Limits provides a unique and empowering experience for everyone involved. Thanks to their amazing donors they have sent a total of 74 children to camp. They appreciate what the donors have done for them and the kids.

This year Tucson, AZ is hosting the National Amputee Conference. This year’s conference is on the west coast and may not return to this side in the next 3-4 years. They have a very special need to send at least 10 members to this conference. There are dozens of clinics and seminars for their members to attend at the Conference. Their goal in their fundraising effort is to raise $15,000. They have separated into teams so they can compete to who can raise the most funds. The teams are: “No Limits,” “Western Flyer,” and “Wild.” People can donate to a member or a team online or in person. On the group’s website, people can donate through PayPal. Their ID# is 27-0561484. Checks are payable to: Amputee Connections 22450 Flamingo St. Grand Terrace CA 92313 Designate a Team or to their Group.
