The Cultural Alliance of the Pass will present a pair of concerts featuring the newly formed string ensemble – Inland Camerata – featuring musicians from the Redlands Symphony on Saturday, April 27, 2019.  Strings in the Pass concerts will be performed at the Banning Woman’s Club.  The first concert begins at 3:00 PM.  The second performance is set to begin at 4:30 PM.  Tickets are priced at $25 and can be purchased online at www.banningculturallliance.org or by calling 951-922-4911.  The Woman’s Club is located at 175 W. Hays Street in Banning, California.

The American inspired program for the evening includes Take the A Train (Ellington), Lullaby Gershwin), Adagio from String Quartet Op. 11 Barber), and the American Quartet (Dvorak).

“We are very excited to be presenting this professional string ensemble from the Redlands Symphony here in The Pass,” noted Carol Newkirk, Executive Director of the Cultural Alliance, “We’ve been working on this concert for many months as part of our effort to bring high quality performances to the people in our local communities.”

Maestro Ransom Wilson, Music Director and Conductor of the Redlands Symphony and the organization’s ensemble program noted, “This is the first of what we hope will be many ensemble performances throughout the region in the months and years to come.  Engaging people where they live through music is an important element of Redlands Symphony’s mission to enrich the region’s cultural life.”

The Redlands Symphony is a professional orchestra that provides a season of six regular concerts each year starting in October and ending in May.  The Symphony also provides music education to thoughts of young people through its OrKIDstra programs.  This year for the first time, students from Beaumont and Banning schools were invited to attend a live OrKIDstra concert presented by Redlands Symphony.  More information about the Symphony and its programs is available at www.redlandssymphony.com.
