Spiritual Spotlight

It’s so easy to look at this world, countryside, and city we live in and think of negative words such as hopeless or decaying but to our Heavenly Father, He might beg to differ!

When God takes a look at us, he thinks of words such as prosperity, hope, love, life and joy.

God’s perspective is so pure in a sense. He always sees the good in people, the potential he created them with and the life in abundance if they choose it.

Most people run from God though. Sometimes his love for us seems surreal, as if it’s too good to be true.

Because of the hurt we’ve experienced by some just by life and some by the hand of others those close to us, it’s sometimes hard to trust.

We can tell by God’s character that he is a giver and not a taker, as some have viewed him.

He gave his only begotten son for the sin and evil in people’s lives, so that we may all have the opportunity to become sons and daughters. That was how he demonstrated his love for us. Romans 5:8 says, "and now that same God is using people who have accepted what his Son Jesus Christ did on the Cross of Calvary to reconcile the lost, hurting, broken, guilty, depressed, lonely, rejected, and shameful. Back to their creator."

So the God that resurrected his Son Jesus Christ from the dead is ready and willing to resurrect the dead areas in our lives back to life.

He’s ready to fill that empty void. He’s ready to heal that broken marriage that’s full of disrespect and bitterness. He’s ready to comfort and console the hurting, rejected, and depressed. By sticking closer than anyone in their lives.

He’s The Hope of The World! And he’s given us the power of all the spoken word, not to tear down others, but to bring life!

As believers of Christ Jesus, we must speak and call those things which do not exist as though they did.

The next time you’re passing through your neighborhood or city full of lost, broken, homeless, and hungry people, remember to say to our neighbor that it is not getting worse but it is going to get better! There is hope for these people thanks to Jesus. We are called to speak life and blessings over our family, children, marriage, and coworker’s community and our future. Let’s partner together with God and help bring the light back in those dark areas.
