Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside members showcased their dance moves Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Club’s annual Day for Kids and open house.

This year’s theme for the community block party was “Kids Got Talent.” The event is free and is held in front of the Hansberger Clubhouse on Clay Street in Redlands.

Two groups of Club members performed choreographed dances they had practiced. Grupo Folklorico de las Montanas, a folklorico group from the Lake Arrowhead area, did three dances.

Day for Kids celebrates youth and the community they live in, and offers families a chance to spend time together. There were games, crafts, a magic show, facepainting, and informational booths. Redlands Optometry Group did free vision screenings for youth, and Panda Express and Kiwanis Club of Redlands (noon) served food.

The Club partnered with the Redlands Community Center, City of Redlands, Home Depot, and many other organizations and corporations to hold Day for Kids, which is celebrated by Boys & Girls Clubs around the country.
