RCOE Foundation Business Partners Program Benefits Student Scholars

RIVERSIDE – The Riverside County Office of Education Foundation (RCOEF) will be distributing $87,500 to thirty-five (35) Riverside County high school students during the month of September. These funds have been made available through grants received from Southern California Edison, San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, and the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. In addition, the newly formed RCOEF Business Partners Program is responsible for a significant portion of this year’s scholarship awards through their annual membership dues.

Members are invited to attend RCOE student academic and foundation events throughout the year for business development and community outreach opportunities. Additionally, members will be listed on the RCOEF website and recognized at the annual Sponsor Recognition Event. The program is comprised of a cross-section of local professional and industry leaders intent on supporting the Riverside County Office of Education Pledge that states: “All students in Riverside County will graduate from high school well prepared for college and the workplace.”

“The Business Partners Program provides an excellent opportunity for companies to give back to their community and to support the education and training of the next generation workforce, here in Riverside County,” said Jennifer Binkley, President/CEO of Altura Credit Union and RCOE Foundation Chair. “This is truly a wonderful win/win opportunity for the business community and deserving career-oriented students.”

In addition to raising funds for student scholarships, these annual membership dues will support important RCOE student advancement programs that are considered necessary to further educational and career goals of students pursuing their college education.

“It is wonderful that these organizations have stepped up to join the Business Partners Program and are demonstrating their commitment to the next generation of business and community leaders who number 430,000 strong in the schools and classrooms across Riverside County,” said Riverside County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Judy D. White.
