It has been about 25 years give or take since the last Miss Colton was crowned. Since about 1993, when the last Miss Colton officially crowned. However, thanks to the Rotary Club of Colton, Alexandria (Lexie) Trujillo was crowned Miss Colton 2019. Breaking the 25 year streak of the city not having a Miss Colton. The newly crowned Miss Colton is 17 years old, attends Colton High and is the daughter of Angelina Romero and Stacy and Jesus Trujillo.

In looking for something to bring the community together the Rotary Club of Colton contacted Erlinda Armendariz the founder and Executive Director of Golden State Pageant.  Working together they thought what better way to bring the community together than to host the Miss Colton Pageant and have businesses in the area sponsor each contestant, therefor entering the pageant for these girls was free. Researching the Miss Colton Pageant,  they were able to contact several of Colton's past queens, four of which the queens were present to help crown the 2019 Miss Colton.

The pageant had a total of eight contestants this year ranging in age from 17 (turning 18 before the end of the year) to 19 years old.  They were Merina Delgado sponsored by Colton Cut Barbershop, Savannah Medina sponsored by Sushi Miguel's, Deborah Ramos sponsored by What's Popping, Therese Rosales sponsored by Leno's Rico Taco, Saray Macias sponsored by Karla's Flowers, Serina Rivera sponsored by Storm Troopers Coaches, Jessikah Ybarra sponsored by Vengeance Ink Tattoo, and Alexandria Trujillo sponsored by C.R. & R. Environmental Services.  The contestants got to meet each other at an orientation party sponsored by Nickelodeon Pizza.  The Contestants were matched up with their sponsors at a Meet and Greet sponsored by JC's Fine Mexican Grill. The contestants attended a photo shoot with several photographers who voted for the Most Photogenic, the award went to Merina Delgado.  The day of the pageant the contestants competed in the following:  Interviews with the judges, sportwear, gown competition and an on stage question.  Once the competitions were done, with the help of the Past Miss Corona Queens awards were given out.  Miss Congeniality, is an award given out by the contestants, to the contestant they felt was the nicest, and the most helpful.  This award was given to Saray Macias.  The people's Choice award is picked by family and friends.  What better way to get the city of Colton involved in the pageant.  We went from about 20 people following the Miss Colton Pageant's Facebook page to close to 1700 followers.  Everyone now knows about the Miss Colton Pageant.  The contestants were given 1 week to get family and friends to like their photo.  The winner was Savannah Medina with 1,438.  2nd place went to Merina Delgado with 1,307.  Savannah was also crowned 2nd runner up and 1st runner up went to Jessikah Ybarra.

For the next year, Lexie - Miss Colton 2019, with Jessikah and Savannah her princesses will participate through out the city at grand opening, city functions as well as representing the city of Colton through out Southern California.  Miss Colton also receives a $1000 cash prize and both princesses will receive $250 each.  Miss Colton made her first appearance on Memorial Day at Freedom Park in Grand Terrace, and the American Legion 155 in Colton, honoring our fallen soldiers.

As the director of the Miss Colton Pageant Armenariz says, "My goal is to give each of the contestants the opportunity to believe in  themselves. by building their self esteem, to grow in knowledge, experience new things and to reach for their dreams and make them come true."
