Hot showers for our homeless families. In the middle of November, Eddie Caldera, who is currently experiencing difficulties, stopped at the food distribution at around 2:30 at the Colton Christian Church.

There he met Tony Garcia of Mobile Solutions Hand Up Courtesy Showers. The Lucas Center in Colton doesn't offer showers to homeless. At one point, R. Gonzales Center was offering the homeless showers from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 to 5 Saturdays for only $2. However, per Felipe Vega Jr they have been stopped due to budget cuts.

Eddie left the church that day encouraged by some free food, a free hot shower, some encouraging words, a prayer, and a toilet articles kit. Mobile Solutions Hand Up hot showers are completely self-contained. If you would like to host it at your church or business contact, Anthony Garcia 909-258-0842.

Mobile hand up Solutions:

Our mission is to express the love of Christ by meeting both the physical and spiritual need. To provide hope for the Hopeless by meeting the needs that are immediate and to work in partnership with other organizations to help the less fortunate. Our goal is to be Outreach, Advocate and liaison Partners, to those people struggling, by providing Direct Services, to the underprivileged, underserved, unemployed, undesirable, low-income individuals, struggling families, and situations where people are food insecure or even at risk homeless.

One of our biggest challenges is to search out and identify homeless veterans and seek out services that are available to them immediately, and to connect them with the services we encourage veterans to utilize services and programs open to them.

We provide referrals when Direct Services aren't available in San Bernardino, LA, Riverside, and Orange County. The need is great, and the resources are few. We provide information for veteran help, meals, clothing, shelters, jobs, sober living facilities, felon friendly organizations, domestic violence, teenage homeless and runaway shelter information, rental and utility assistance along with other resources. We utilize 211 whenever services are available but also seek out and utilize, other organizations that aren't part of the 211 system when services are not available.

We have a fully insured transportable shower unit that is fully self-contained and has privacy for any area of Need for people. Working together we can eliminate homelessness and help those in need our hope is to express the love of Christ, to meet the need that is immediate, and identify the circumstances that led to that condition. Ultimately we want to be a hand up and not just a handout semicolon to equip, Empower and improve the quality of life, by helping people reach the point of self-sufficiency.
