Metrolink Offers Special Service

Metrolink makes travelling to Fontana for the Auto Club 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, March 1 easier and less stressful with three special trains to Auto Club Speedway. Race fans can affordably avoid traffic with the $10 Weekend Day Pass that is good for travel all day and includes a shuttle to the speedway entrance gates.

Metrolink will offer special trains to the Auto Club Speedway from Oxnard, Oceanside and Lancaster with selected stops. Trains will arrive at a specially constructed platform near the back straightaway of the race track in Fontana.

“Watching NASCAR racers drive at top speed is a thrill but inching along in traffic to get to the race is not,” said Metrolink CEO Stephanie Wiggins. “Metrolink riders bypass traffic so they can focus on the race, not the bottleneck.”

Metrolink’s regular San Bernardino Line weekend service will not stop at the Auto Club Speedway platform. Passengers can transfer to the special train at the San Bernardino-Downtown, Covina, Montclair and Rancho Cucamonga stations. Alternatively, travelers can exit at the Fontana or Rancho Cucamonga stations and take a ride hailing service to the speedway.

Fans can purchase the $10 Weekend Day Pass for the special Metrolink train service to the Auto Club 400 on race day at a station ticket machine or through the Metrolink mobile app. For more information go to metrolinktrains.com/race.

Returning trains depart Auto Club Speedway one hour after the end of the race.

Customers can purchase NASCAR race tickets and obtain information on the Auto Club Speedway train schedule by calling Auto Club Speedway at (800) 944-RACE (7223), logging on to autoclubspeedway.com/Metrolink or visiting the Auto Club Speedway ticket office.
