Carne asada is sizzling in the kitchen; the smell of rice fills the air and families are coming inside from the outside heat ready to eat together in a new local Mexican restaurant.

A customer has finished his meal and is about to leave, but before he does, he stops, smiles and says thank you and goodbye to the restaurant staff, which staff says happens often.

Odalberto’s Mexican Food restaurant in Grand Terrace wants to welcome the community to come and be well fed with fresh Mexican food and leave with a smile, according to an interview with Odalberto’s staff.

“We want to make sure everyone in Grand Terrace and around [here] is fed well and we want to make sure that we provide the best quality food for everyone that comes here.” Restaurant employee Daniel Cruz, said.

Odalberto’s Mexican Food restaurant, located on Barton Road and Mount Vernon Avenue in Grand Terrace, opened its doors in May 2018.

Some of the restaurant’s employees have 20 years of experience working in the industry and have a set goal to ensure the best for their customers. For the owners, it is their first restaurant partnership and they are aiming to make it a community place and memorable for all those that stop in.

“Our goal is to make sure that everyone who comes here is happy, leaves happy and is well fed.” Restaurant employee Felipe Murillo, said.

Odalberto’s Mexican Food restaurant stands out from other restaurants because of their commitment to cooking daily fresh food.

“Everything is made daily within a couple of hours,” Cruz said. “We don’t make anything to store it. We know everybody makes it and stores it for the following day, and we don’t do that. We make it in the morning.”

Trying to find a quality and inexpensive restaurant within your community can sometimes be difficult, but Odalberto’s Mexican Food restaurant staff say that their food is enjoyable and affordable.

“That’s our priority all the time, to try and make the best food so they [costumers] can have a nice food experience because food is an experience.” Said Cruz and Murillo. “If something is really good, you want to come back.”

Odalberto’s Mexican Food restaurant staff say their focus is to serve the community of Grand Terrace and the surrounding cities and say they feel fulfilled and satisfied when they get to see the customers leave with a smile.

Odalberto’s Mexican Food restaurant staff are ready to provide its customers the best eating experience through friendly customer service and good food. Being the first Odalbertos to open in Grand Terrace, it is already becoming a hot spot to to the community. So, if you're looking for fresh and delicious food, a family friendly environment, and affordable prices, come and stop into Odalbertos! You'll be sure to be welcomed with a smile by staff, have a great food experience, and leave happy and full.

“We want to thank everyone for welcoming us to Grand Terrace and we’ll be waiting for you guys,” said Cruz.
