Local Pastors Celebrate 15 Years of Service

Pastors Julio and Carol Sandoval of Church of Fire in Christ, located in Grand Terrace, are marching into their 15th year of service to God and the community with humility and gratitude.  “It hasn’t always been easy, but it has been worth it!” says Julio.

The Sandovals have left a footprint in four local cities and on the hearts of thousands of community members. “We started off as a bible study in a small warehouse in Rialto, setting up and tearing down for every service. My wife would teach the children sitting on the curb,” recalls Julio “we sang songs as best we could, and had no live music.” After 3 years of sowing into their ministry and investing in the spiritual growth of anyone and everyone who came their way, God opened a door for them in the city of Colton.  They continued relentlessly on their quest for healing and deliverance for 4 and a half years, all the while adding to their flock.

The fruits of their labor are evident.  In 2011, they secured their current location at 12354 Mt. Vernon Ave in the city of Grand Terrace and have grown in both size and stature. Under the cover of Praise Chapel, the Sandoval’s now pastor two churches, both English and Spanish. Iglesia De Fuego en Cristo, the Spanish congregation, is also based out of their current location. Their ministry goes beyond the borders of the United States as well, as they are currently overseeing more than 10 churches in various states in Mexico.

Julio and Carol still have active members from their early days serving as pillars of the ministry, as well as Associate Pastors. They have launched out numerous evangelists, teachers, pastors, and prophets.

“Hey, we are just a bunch of nobodies trying to tell everybody about that somebody (Jesus) who can heal anybody,” exclaims Sandoval.  With an extended invitation to all the surrounding community, Julio and Carol continue to reach out to those who are lost, broken, hurting, and in need of a savior, “We invite you to get connected with our ministry, join us for service and come expecting our big God to do big things in your life.”
