For the past two years, Clark’s Nutrition, the Inland Empire’s leading nutrition store, and Dr. Fay Kazzi, a local Loma Linda University graduate, have been leading a quiet revolution. Like most uprisings, this one is starting small, and is driven by passion for change. Dr. Kazzi and Clark’s have a common vision to share great tasting food that is actually good for you. Marketing Director, Mike Barnett says, “The words ‘nutritious’ and ‘delicious’ are too often not used together to speak of the same food.” Barnett states, “So often there’s a belief that if it tastes amazing, then it must be bad for us, and vice versa. We wanted to change that!”

Clark’s partnered with Dr. Kazzi, PhD, MS, RD, for several reasons. First, Dr. Kazzi is a doctor, Registered Dietitian, plant-based culinary instructor, and an amazing recipe creator. Secondly, Dr. Kazzi is also a sought after world-class food photographer, so the photos of these exclusive Clark’s recipes really draw you in. Once you’re hooked by the picture, the ingredients will reel you in deeper to the revolution. Dr. Kazzi shops at Clark’s exclusively for all the recipe ingredients. Each recipe comes complete with a full color image of the recipe on the front, and complete recipe instructions (including brands of ingredients) on the back. Regular Clark’s customers know that each month a new batch of recipe cards are available for free at each of the four Clark’s Nutrition locations. Customers even have an opportunity to receive a $100 “Recipe Shopping Spree,” by taking a photo or video of their prepared Fay recipe and posting on Clark’s social media pages. (#RealFoodRevolution)

Taking the next step!

What’s next? Clark’s is now carrying “Fay’s Gourmet Creations” products. These are select items created from Dr. Kazzi’s recipes. Now, if you don’t want to make the recipes, you can take home the finished product! Clark’s advertises this approach as, ‘Make it or Take it.’ Looking at sales and interests in this Real Food concept, the rebellion seems to be taking hold.

Dr. Kazzi says, “Fay’s Gourmets’ Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Bars are a great example of what this revolution is all about. These nutrient dense bars, made from mostly nuts, have no processed sugars added, and taste as good as they look. This decadent, salty-sweet treat is healthy enough to have for breakfast!” That’s right, dessert for breakfast! Are you ready to join the Real Food Revolution yet?
