Ronald Leroy Noriega-devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed on June 27, 2018 at his home in San Bernardino, California surrounded by his loving wife. He was 79.

Born on August 23, 1938 in San Bernardino, California to Samuel and Marie Noriega.

On September 6, 1958, Ronald enlisted in the United States Army Reserve until being honorably discharged on October 31, 1964. Ronald graduated from Colton Union High School, class of 1959.

Ronald worked as a Diesel Electrician for Santa Fe Railroad for 30 years and for Amtrak for 9 years. He was well known by his colleagues for his unfailing work ethic and generous smile.

In his later years, when Diabetes took his bodily strength, it also gave him a new strength of endurance which we treasured. It was during these times; he taught us to keep our Faith and continue to fight regardless how difficult the fight was.

His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his adoring eternal wife and caretaker, Mary A. Noriega; children Lisa Shults (Dale),  Steven Noriega, Dolores Wells (Roger), Kameliah Maestas (Frankie), Natalie Noriega, and Jennifer Noriega; his eight grandchildren Amanda Wiseman, Alyssa VanMouwerik, Andrea Wiseman, Wesley Wells, Margaret Wells, Anecia Maestas, Frankie J. Maestas Jr., and Ameliana Alvarez; two great grandchildren James VanMouwerik and Jasper VanMouwerik.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hermosa Chapel at Hermosa Gardens in Colton. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Grand Terrace. Burial following at Hermosa Gardens in Colton.
