Here’s What’s at Steak…

Steak sandwiches, that is.  Most people know Antonious Pizza in Grand Terrace as the go-to place for an amazing pizza, hot Italian food, or the most delicious fountain Coke you’ll ever drink in your life, but there is more to Antonious than meets the eye.  Nestled deep in their delectable menu lies the most glorious steak sandwich that will ever cross your lips.

The Grilled Rib Eye Steak sandwich should be on your “foodie” bucket list immediately.   It comes with Onions, Green Peppers, Mushrooms (oh my goodness, those mushrooms!), Cheese, and thinly sliced Rib Eye Steak on toasted bread.   My mouth is literally watering as I write this. Truth be told, I had no idea Antonious made sandwiches like this until recently and I started thinking that if I didn’t know about their non-pizza menu items, maybe other people are also missing out on these hidden gems.

I had the opportunity to speak to other Antonious customers and the sentiment is the same.  “I have dreams about this sandwich”, says Rhonda Ulibarri, who works just a few doors down from Antonious.  I watched people from the surrounding businesses going in and out of the restaurant during lunch hours, and I have to say I am impressed with the community spirit that Grand Terrace shares.  Supporting our neighbors is a beautiful thing.

I am a proponent of supporting local businesses and I’d love to encourage as many people as I can to experience what I have experienced at Antonious.  Not only is the food fantastic (I might be a sandwich stalker now) but I truly love the owners, as well.  They’ve always treated me fairly and I really enjoy speaking with them while I am waiting for my food.  As I become a more frequent customer, I really look forward to getting to know the owners better and learning their story.
