Hagman Attracts New Flights to Ontario Airport and Boosts Local Economy

San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman Curt Hagman is sold on the prospects of Ontario International Airport. "Ontario is poised for explosive growth" stated Hagman. "It is the only designated international airport in southern California with substantial excess capacity both in terms of passengers and cargo. We can grow quickly, and leading that growth is one of my highest priorities."

On Sunday, March 25th, Supervisor Hagman led a delegation on the Inaugural flight of China Airlines from Ontario to Taiwan, which consisted of business and governmental leaders seeking to expand trade between the two countries. China Airlines was brought to Ontario by Supervisor Hagman during previous business trips to Taiwan.

Since his election as Supervisor in 2014, and subsequent selection to become a member of the governing Ontario International Airport Authority, Supervisor Hagman has led efforts to return the airport to local control, expand both cargo and passenger usage, and bring cutting edge technology to bear on improving the quality of service for airport passengers and businesses.

Supervisor Hagman is continuing to lead discussions with other airlines and major businesses in Asia. He is also planning to expand his campaign for more trade and jobs in the Fourth Supervisorial District to airlines and businesses in Mexico and South America over the next few years. "The sky is the limit for both Ontario Airport and San Bernardino County" said Hagman. "I'm proud and honored to represent this wonderful part of America we call home to peoples around the world. Expanding trade and tourism through growth at the Airport will mean thousands of jobs for local residents and millions of dollars to our local businesses. Building a better future is my highest goal in public service."
