At the recent Colton City Council meeting, Council Member Dr. G  (Dr. Luis S Gonzalez) presented Colton Truck Terminal with a “business focus” recognition award for 61 years of business in the City of Colton.  Colton Truck Terminal, located at 863 E Valley Blvd., is owned by Steve Hammerschmidt, Ed Doltar, Rich Doltar, and Fran Field, and has been a business leader at the east “gateway” to our city for many years.

As Dr. G explained, “This business is a very successful organization who has established a track record of outstanding service, outstanding customer relations, and outstanding business practices.”  For these reasons, and the fact that their long-time staying power has anchored the business community along Valley Blvd, the Council enthusiastically selected the Colton Truck Terminal for this recognition award. “They are a great business, with great people, and a great heart form Colton,” added Dr. G.

Colton Truck Terminal Garage is considered in the trucking industry as a “one-stop shop” for all truck repairs, service and maintenance. Each and every day, several trucks, busses and motorhomes can be seen parked in the repair bays receiving expert service for a variety of mechanical and engine repair needs. According to Office Manager Fran Field, “our specialty is service to electronic truck diesel engines.” The employees boast they “can perform any repair,” and the jam-packed service bays are not only impressive, but proves that they have a very large, and satisfied, customer base.

Founded in 1956, the business first located at 719 and 771 E. Valley Blvd. the site of the current Colton Truck Wash, and then moved to the current location in 1982. They have nine pull-through bays, a main office building stocked with parts, and sits on a well-located two-acre lot. They employ 17 Full-time mechanics and service staff, and have a nice record of hiring local people.

All the mechanics, office staff, and owners are to be congratulated on their many years of providing first-rate truck repair service to the Colton Community and local trucking industry. Colton Truck Terminal is open Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm, and is ready to serve you.
