New 2 You could be the best kept secret in Grand Terrace. But not according to Karen Philpott of Colton. "New to you is a great place to go to get household items especially to start up an apartment, and the people there are really nice". If you need anything you can most likely find it at New 2 You.

New 2 You gets their items from consignors, vendors that rent booth spaces, estate sales, auctions, yard sales, and yes even donations. "we keep our prices low, under market, and very reasonable; that's why you'll always see new items come through." states Mary Irey owner. They have antiques, household items, books, music, costume jewelry, kitchen items, Small kitchen appliances, furniture, and clothing for all ages. "we don't have much in electronics or computer stuff because they get dated so fast" said Irey.

The biggest hits are vintage furniture (good wood) unique, unusual, custom items, collectibles, crystal, teapots, glass wear. Items still in the package. Yes you can even buy gifts for your friends here.

I would like people to know we are here in Grand Terrace. It's surprising when people come in and ask "when did you open" as if the store just opened. After chatting a bit we find out they've lived in Grand Terrace for years; they eat at the restaurant a couple times a week, but they never knew we were here. "I've been here 13 years"

Mary Irey owner of New 2 You purchased the consignment store in 2004, for a friend who wanted to own a consignment store. After working the store for a while the friend decided it was too hard and so she left. Irey a nurse practitioner by profession was then thrust into this business. With the assistance of her daughter Carron, they have been assisting consignors liquidate personal property items. "It's a great service." said Ann "unlike eBay and craigslist, I can come into the store see what I want to buy... touch it, try it on, and walk out of the store with it.

Although, New 2 You does use the more modern Internet and social media to market the stores items. So if you need help selling your stuff New 2 You is the place to go.

With a smile on her face Irey shared "I love staging the stuff but I prefer to do this with someone, we always have a lot of fun." Often times vendor Dolly or daughter Carron assist Irey. "When you do it together you tend to get more creative and feed off each other... I love it, it's fun."

"What I like best" according to Irey "is meeting all the people going through all the stuff, laughing and reminiscing." Irey now retired said "I enjoyed being busy and this place keeps me involved in the community, it is a social gathering place".

We support local businesses and local events so come by and get  2 FREE TICKETS when you buy any item; that's right any item, and you will receive two free tickets (anytime tickets) to the local 66ers baseball game. While tickets last.

New 2 You is tucked away in the
