COLTON>> On Tuesday, April 4, the Best Western Plus Arrowhead Hotel hosted a Re-Launch Mixer and ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its grand re-opening after an extensive renovation, which began in early 2016. It took nearly a year to complete all of the renovations and updates the hotel went through. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by Mayor Richard DeLaRosa, who cut the ribbon at the ceremony, City Council member Dr. Luis Gonzalez and other members of the community of Colton that were invited to the event. Those who attended the re-opening were treated to appetizers and refreshments and had the chance of entering a raffle where the prize could be a two-night stay at one of Best Western Plus Arrowhead Hotel locations. Guest were given the opportunity to go on a tour of the hotel while also mingling with other guests. "It (the grand-opening) went very well; everyone was happy with everything," said Charlene Soto, General Manager. The hotel is completely smoke-free and features 62 guest rooms and 20 deluxe guest rooms. It is located at 250 N. 9th Street in Colton. The renovations include a fully-renovated exterior and interior with added upgrades throughout the entire hotel. This includes a new meeting space and fitness center for guests to enjoy during their stay at the hotel. All rooms were remodeled with new furnishings, bed mattresses, carpet, and amenities, finishing off with a fresh coat of paint for the outside of the hotel. Front Desk Manager Gilem Garay stated that the hotel strives to be its guests' "home away from home," and that they are lucky to be in a location that has many local restaurants and grocery stores nearby. “We believe our new hotel will prove useful to our community and visitors,” said Manny De Guzman, Vice President Hotel Operations. “The Best Western Plus Arrowhead Hotel will become a link and entity that will attract other businesses and travelers in an effort to motivate growth within the City of Colton.” Nightly rates start $79 to $129; travelers can contact the location directly for promotional rates, group rates and package deals for their stay.
