District 23 Candidates to Speak

On Friday, October 18th, 2019 the Redlands Republican Women's Club is pleased to announce that three Republican candidates for State Senate District 23 (Senator Mike Morrell’s seat) will be the speakers at the Club's lunch meeting. The meeting will be held at the Redlands Country Club starting at 11:30 a.m. with lunch served at noon, and the presentation scheduled at 12:30 pm. The cost for lunch is $20 and reservations must be made by October 16th. For reservations call Lori Tremain at (909) 792-2501. If you want to hear the speakers and not have lunch, there is no cost and there will be seats available.

College students are invited to attend and lunch will be free for them. 

The three candidates (in alphabetical order): Rosilicie Bogh, Cristina Puraci and Lloyd White.

Rosilicie Bogh is a native Californian and has been a Realtor for 16 years. She received a “Woman of Distinction” award in her field. She is a graduate of San Bernardino High School and University of California at Santa Barbara; she taught English language learners and now serves on her local school board in Yucaipa. She and her husband of 23 years and their three children live in Yucaipa, CA.

Christina Puraci is a President of Redlands Unified School District Board of Trustees since 2016. She was raised in Romania and immigrated to the United States at age 18. She lives in Highland with her husband of 27 years, and has one married son, daughter-in-law and one grandson. She earned her B.A. at California State University San Bernardino and began her teaching career at Colton School District in 2004. She earned the WHO award from the California Teachers Association because she introduced initiatives and policies to streamline local government. Christina is an active member of her church, as well as numerous committees throughout the Inland Empire including ROP and groups which provide help for the homeless. She believes that no Veteran should be homeless.

Lloyd White worked as a self-employed licensed securities broker and insurance agent in Escondido in 1994 until he accepted a position at ESRI in 1997. Lloyd earned an MBA from the University of Redlands in 2004 and has worked at ESRI for 21 years. He works as a software developer there. Lloyd and his wife and children moved from Highland to Beaumont where he is active in Beaumont School District, Cub Scouts and PTA Executive Board. Lloyd served on Beaumont City Council for two terms - 2014 and 2018. He has represented the citizens of Beaumont on various committees including Riverside County Transportation commissions (RCTC).
