Mariachi Youth Academy History

The Mariachi Youth Academy was founded by Sinfonia Mexicana in 2009 to provide a music education for youth, ages 8 – 20, who did not have access to an arts education and the many benefits gained from reading music.  The founders believed that a music education would “give students a better chance at success."

Applications are now being accepted for new students.  Class instruction is for beginner, intermediate and advanced students. With world-class musicians/instructors guiding the program, the Mariachi Youth Academy is a recognized learning institution for the art of mariachi.

The concert is a fundraiser for its music education program. Sinfonia Mexicana is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
