Mansfield Oil Company officially opened its doors to the Loma Linda area when it celebrated with the Loma Linda Chamber of Commerce and other residents at the official ribbon cutting ceremony held Sept. 23. Founded in 1957, the company is headquartered in Gainseville, Georgia and its new Loma Linda site is its westernmost location, explained Scott Trimble, Mansfield Oil's Director of Business Development for Alternative Fuels. "We are dedicated to the city of Loma Linda and coming into the community, we are expanding our west coast business," Trimble said. Mansfield Oil partners with its clients to provide "innovative, technology-based solutions to support energy supply chain needs," Trimble explained. The company provides clients with everything from traditional petroleum products to compressed natural gas used in cars, trucks, transit and school buses, and liquified natural gas. The company also supplies specialty chemicals and renewable fuels. "We deliver over 3.5 billion gallons of petroleum products, ethanol, bidiesel and diesel exhaust fluid each year," Trimble said. That amounts to one full tanker truck load every minute of the day. About 50 community residents and Mansfield Oil employees, including Michael F. Mansfield Sr., the company's Chairman and CEO; President Doug Haugh; Senior Vice President of Operations Joe Campbell; Loma Linda Mayor Rhodes Rigsby; Loma Linda Mayor Pro Tem Phil Dupper; Loma Linda Councilman Ovidiu Popescu and several other Loma Linda city leaders. Also in attendance was Mansfield Oil's Muscular Dystrophy Association Ambassador Abbey Umali. Mansfield Oil is also known for its support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, to which it has donated over $5 million over the last 28 years, explained Trimble. Loma Linda Chamber of Commerce CEO Phil Carlisle said the company is a welcome addition to the Loma Linda community. "I think it's going to be a very positive thing for both the city and the Chamber of Commerce," Carlisle said. "Any time a business comes here and wants to do business locally and help the sales tax base, it's a win-win for everybody." "We are proud to be a part of the community," Trimble said. Attendees of the event celebrated with an official ribbon cutting ceremony and were invited to gather inside the building and share food and cake in honor of the company's Loma Linda location grand opening to end the evening.
