On Wednesday November 29th, the Cloverdale Choir made their first performance of the year. The choir is led by Mrs. Dawn Rivera with two of her assistants. The choir began practicing in September and has had rehearsals once a week in preparation for their performance. Children from 2nd grade through 5th grade had the chance to take part and join in. There was approximately 50 kids in the choir for this performance.

The night of the performance went smoothly and electric. The Cloverdale multipurpose room filled with parents and families of those performing that evening. The students would be performing a variety of songs from the Trolls movie soundtrack. This included songs such as “Can’t Stop This Feeling,” “Hair Up,” and “Move Your Feet.” All were excited to see the little ones show off what they had been learning and practicing for the past two months. As the children took the stage, they all looked cute and bright with their neon colored shirts and shoes. Many of the children even painted their hair crazy colors and applied glitter. Some of the girls even had their hair pulled back and up in true Trolls style.

They sang their songs to the tune of the music playing in the background as well as Mrs. Rivera playing her guitar. A few of the students even took to their own solo parts and put on quiet a show. The children rapped and joked, while others put on a small dance performance. It takes a lot for a child to get up in front of a crowd and perform, but they were well prepared this year with children ready to perform. There were no shy features in this group as each soloist proudly performed their part. As well as each child displaying pride and energy into their singing with the entire group.

The Cloverdale Choir put on quiet a performance and showed how much their hard work has paid off. Each student put in the hours to learn and practice each song and it displayed well that night. The crowd loved every minute of it clapping along and cheering the choir on as they made their debut performance for this school year.
