The Cucuys played against the Jethawks on Thursday August 2nd at the San Manuel Stadium. While the game entertained spectators throughout the night, it was the Valley View High School Crimson Regiment that started the night off with a bang.

The Crimson Regiment marched onto the field coming in from both home and visitors side. With their instruments and music stands in tow, they took their places behind home plate and watched along with the game spectators as they threw the first pitches. After the pitches the band took their positions to perform.

With everyone watching this high school band put on a memorable performance. Those in attendance for the game got a special treat in watching them perform the National Anthem. With only four days to officially practice before the game as school has not started yet, the Crimson Regiment was able to prove that they deserved to perform that night.

Each member of the band poured their heart into the performance and it showed. Their instruments were polished to reflect the sun and their music was in tune with each other. Performing in front of hundreds of people is no easy task. However, this high school band accomplished this performance and came out on top. Their performance made many audience members, their school, and the city of Moreno Valley proud and started out a great night of baseball.

The Crimson Regiment consisted of freshman thru senior grade levels. They were led by the band director Loren Gamarra. Accompanying him in leading the rest of the students were Drum Major Farsamin Warisha and Assistant Drum Major Elian Herrera.

With the school year officially starting next week, we can be sure to see much more of the Valley View High School Crimson Regiment. They have many things coming their way and they are already working and practicing hard for them. Keep your eyes on City News Group to hear about the great upcoming things that the Crimson Regiment will be doing this year.
