Local Author Pens Story Published in Chicken Soup for the Soul

MORENO VALLEY >> The Chicken Soup for the Soul franchise put out a request for story submissions and one local author answered the call. Debby Johnson's story, "His Just Desserts", has been included in Chicken Soup for the Soul's latest book, My Very Good Very Bad Dog. The book, slated for release on February 9, 2016 is just one of over 250 Chicken Soup titles that have been published in over 100 countries and translated in to over 43 languages. "My pups certainly inspired the story," Johnson said. "In particular, Pixel, who is a bit finicky and spoiled and who the star of the short story. I started making homemade dog treats over two years ago and when I read the premise of the book I knew I had to share this adventure. It's been a dream come true to actually have the story selected for inclusion in the book."
