Fighting All Cancers with Courage

The 7th Annual Believe Walk presented by Stater Bros. Charities and Inland Women Fighting Cancer has chosen COURAGE as its theme, because it takes courage to navigate through the journey of survivorship. It makes a difference for survivors to know that they are not alone and that others who have battled cancer are surviving and thriving. These stories and more will be profiled at this year’s Believe Walk on October 5th in downtown Redlands to bring hope to those who are newly diagnosed or beginning treatment. Larry Adams: “I have always been a very active person both in my family life and in my community. Only after my wife forced me to slow down and have a routine checkup with my family Doctor, did I discover I had prostate cancer. According to The American Cancer Society, about 1 in every 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. I never thought I would be that “one”. Not until I found myself seated in front of my Oncologist and heard him say those life changing words “You have Prostate Cancer” did the thought cross my mind. EARLY DETECTION can save your life.
