Dr. Seuss is on the loose as LifeHouse Theater is proud to present the Broadway favorite “Seussical.”  The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who not only must protect a speck of dust containing the Whos from a world of naysayers, but also guard an abandoned egg.

Performances begin Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 7:00 PM and will continue on weekends through March 8, 2020. Performances are Fridays at 7:00 PM, Saturdays at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM. In addition to the weekend performances, there will be a special Thursday performance on March 5 at 7:00 PM. The performance on Friday, February 21 will also feature an interpreted presentation for the deaf.

Regular advance ticket prices are $22 or $26 for adults and $11 or $13 for children ages 3-11 (no children under 3 are admitted) and can be purchased over the phone with a Visa or MasterCard by calling (909) 335-3037. Tickets are available online at boxoffice.lifehousetheater.com. Checks can also be mailed to LifeHouse, provided reservations are made far enough in advance. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the box office, which is open Fridays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and one hour prior to performance times on the weekends. Tickets are $2 more the day of the performance. Group rates are available for groups of ten or more. Guests are encouraged to reserve seats early as performances will sell out.

“Seussical” is a fantastical, magical musical. Tony winning writers/composers Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (“Lucky Stiff,” “My Favorite Year,” and “Ragtime”) have lovingly brought to life many favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, the lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big imagination--Jojo. The colorful characters transport the audience from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.

“Dr. Seuss represents the best of our childhoods. His zany characters and firm lessons are universal and timeless. We’re excited to bring it all to life,” comments Wayne Scott, founder and president of LifeHouse Theater. “‘Suessical’ is a wonderful opportunity for guests of any age to come and enjoy this fun family fantasy.”

The cast of over 45 Inland Empire actors includes the brother team of Michael Milligan and Aaron Milligan, who will be sharing the role of the Cat in the Hat, in addition to directing and choreographing the production. The show also features Gabriel Falatea as Horton the Elephant, Sage Manson as Gertrude McFuzz, Dunlin Manson as Jojo, Aubree Shibley as Mayzie La Bird, Renata Quijada as Sour Kangaroo, Jonathan Bushey as Mr. Mayor, Meigan Karraker as Mrs. Mayor and Michael Burns as General Schmitz.

Joining the award-winning team of the Milligan brothers on the production staff are assistant director Kelsey Milligan, music director Renata Quijada, costume designers Debbie Milligan and Shaina Milligan and set designer Vincent Martinucchi.

LifeHouse Theater’s 26th season continues with “The Rise of King David” (March 21 - April 26, 2020), “Little Women” (May 9 - June 14, 2020), “The Three Musketeers” (June 27 - August 2, 2020), “Esther!” (August 15 - September 13, 2020), and “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” (September 26 - October 25, 2020). Money-saving season passes are now on sale at the LifeHouse Box Office.
