The 2015 Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society Garden Tour and Uncommon Plant Sale showcased the creative efforts of this year's gardeners, such as the design and use of space, the selection of plants and flowers, and of some unique structural elements. Not only made possible by the gardeners who participated, a multitude of volunteers also donated their time and energy selling tickets at each site, ushering visitors into the gardens and tallying the number of attendees. Volunteers also included many musicians who shared their talents. Vince Lombardi once said, “The achievements of an organization are the combined efforts of each individual.” The success of this year’s RHIS Garden Tour and Plant Sale was dependent on the "combined efforts" of the following volunteers: Garden home owners Rob and Laura Bishop, Dan and Diana Cozad, Tom and Julie Cutler, Jim Gerrard, Alko Howo, Larry and Judith Johansen, and Jeff and Susan Vollucci. Thanks also goes out to the 2015 Garden Tour Committee: Arlene Benson, chairperson and Garden Tour coordinator; Chris Sedmack, planning and permits; Betty Ashbaker, musician coordinator; Frank Herendeen, publicity, banner and flyer graphics designer; Rosemary Herendeen, docent recruitment and assignment coordinator; and Dini Martz, garden plant identification coordinator. Musical entertainment was provided by Jeff Ashbaker, Joe Ashbaker, Alonzo Blackwell, Dale Honeycutt, Michael Taelour, Dan Morgan, Kim Hoeptner, Troy Hooker, Mary Jane Auerbacher, Susan Lawrence, Linda Pederson, Joan Prost, Wanzee and Wanlen Tan, Elena and Ellie Zang, Emiko and Aiko McConnell, Lindsay and Alicia Gullon, Marlon Moenius, James Yang, Liv Massih, Edmar Oliveira, Beverly Howard, Judy Johansen, Brian Chang, Stew Undem, and Toni Spagnola. This year's speakers at the Cutler building included Brian Romberg, John Grimm, Melody Newell, Linda Richards, Beaumont Nursery, and Gates Cactus and Succulent Society. Special thanks goes out to the plant yard crew: Gerri and Carl Herth, Terry Hernstrom, Eric Carlson, Lani Howard, Marsha Viega, Barbara Herold, Linda Walsh, Marla Reagle, Jill Becotte, Sharon Spencer and friends Dave and Robert; head docents: Terry Brown, Rosa Gomez, John Grimm, Carole Koven, Walter and Mary Mook, Geroge Nash, Linda Richards, Chris Sedmack, and Marsha Sinkevich; garden sitters: Mayor Paul Foster and Juliana Foster, Councilman Paul Barich and Joann Barich, Councilman Jon Harrison and Lynette Harrison, Councilman John James and Carol James, Councilwoman Pat Gilbreth, Mary and Eliza Herrero, Nancy Walthall, Carol Voita, Jann and Eliza Beauer, Cheryl and Alayna Andrews, Linda Whitener, Kim Woods, Walter and Mary Mook, Rosa Gomez, Alisa Evans, Richard Wisley, Holly Clark, Steve and Juli Spiller, Judith Hunt, Mark and Liz Beguelin, Mickey Tetley, Delmar and Cheree Aitken, Phil and Linda Livoni, Weldon and Mary Clegg, Steve and Susan Schroder, Scott and Melody Anderson, David and Marjorie Olsen, George Spencer, Donna Sullivan, Michele and Chloe Moor, Polly Sholl, David and Pat Dangermond, Janet Ward, David Heiss, Susan Kean, Bruce and Kate Frank, Connie Hubbard, Murray Brandstater, Jean Hyman, Jason Bauer, lda Stuck, Brenda Day, Masa Suzawa, Larry Asmus, Donna McIntosh, Milt and Peggy Gibbs, Leslie Sewall, Yuki Johnson, Joe and Barbara Soelter, Curtiss Allen, Shelia and Karen LaBlanc, Marlys Mantel, Megan Dickson, Jose and Carol Petrasek, Carol Hudson, Donna Mitchell, Janet Ward, Phoebe Baty, Betty Buckmaster, Hazel Fuller, Megan Dickson, Jeannie Gaylord, Linda Brooks, Marsha Sinkevich, Donna Mitchell, Peg McCay, Debbie Bonavede, Patricia Pothier, Lin Anderson, Margaret Alexander, Beverly Howard, Ernie and Jo Dierking, Ingrid Dahlgren, Cathy Guzik, Diane Shimota, Robin Grube, Tamara Veenstra, Mary and Renata Waldum, Dorothy Lewis, David Heiss, LaRue and Marisa Crouch, David Englebretson, Shirley Smith, Debbie Streisling, Eugene Blanck, Monte and Nelda Stuck, Luz and Marco Jimenez, Jack and Norma Marrin, Sandie Green, Mary Rassey, Richard and Loretta Bueermann, Bill Funk, Betsy Heinz, Brad Glassco, Jack and Ruth Moskal, Bob and Diane Turley, Joanne Booth, Caroline Biscom, Terry Brown, Claudean Gordon, Stan and Ellen Weisser, Kay Wood, Mario and Maria Salcedo, Marion Edwards, and Shirlee Fox.
