San Bernardino>>On July 12, 2017, at approximately 7:08 p.m., investigators from a multi-agency task force, including officers from the San Bernardino Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (A.T.F.), were conducting a stand-alone investigation in the City of San Bernardino. While conducting the investigation, two task force officers from the A.T.F. were involved in an officer involved shooting. One suspect sustained gunshot wounds as a result of the shooting. Officers from the task force provided initial emergency care for the suspect until medical aid arrived. The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition. No officers were harmed in the incident.
Investigators from the San Bernardino Police Department responded to the scene to conduct the officer involved shooting investigation. Any inquiries regarding the incident are asked to be directed to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
