New Mr. Cardinal City to be Crowned

Amid the music, dancing and formalwear, one young man will be crowned Mr. Cardinal City 2015–2016 on Saturday, April 4. “It was a great experience,” said San Bernardino High School senior and current Mr. Cardinal Samuel Moreno. “It keeps you so busy with so many events around the community.” Moreno credits the Mr. Cardinal City program with raising his awareness of what is happening in the greater San Bernardino community. Both as a contestant last year and as the reigning Mr. Cardinal, he has volunteered many hours to help the needy and attended multiple community events. His favorite activity was volunteering at the Lighthouse for the Blind. “Mr. Cardinal spreads good will and shows the community the caliber of students attending San Bernardino High,” pageant coordinator Jamie Rios said. “And, every Mr. Cardinal gains valuable experience and gives back to his school and community.” The 2014-2015 Mr. Cardinal contestants are: Aldo Barragan, Alexander Mattison, Bryan Frutos, Bryan Montes, Christian Quezada, Eric Rey, Franklin Fort, Javier Rocha, Jonathan Romero, Joshua Glenn Laurel, Jovanni Lopez, Miguel Rodriguez, Mohammad Hussein, Raymond Lopez, and Roberto Flores.
