Youth Enrichment Services (Y.E.S.), a year-round program of Santa Claus Inc., announced it has been awarded a $5,000 grant from Bank of America that will enable Y.E.S. to distribute essential basic needs such as school supplies, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, bedding and emergency shelter to 10,730 children across San Bernardino County. Y.E.S. is projected to provide services to 100,000 children throughout San Bernardino County in 2017, and Bank of America’s grant will cover 100% of costs to provide funds for services to approximately 11% of these impoverished children. Through our partnership with Santa Claus Inc., Bank of America is helping to expand economic opportunities and solutions for those most in need – children living in extreme poverty.

Executive Director Karen DiCarlo said, “Bank of America leads by example by helping nonprofits maximize the opportunities for those who are living in depressed economic circumstances. Santa Claus Inc. is blessed to have the trust and support of Bank of America.”

“When children grow up with limited access to basic resources, they face obstacles that could interfere with their education and chances at economic mobility,” said Al Arguello, Inland Empire market president, Bank of America. “We are proud to support Santa Claus Inc. with funding that will help them meet the needs of impoverished youth in the Inland Empire year-round.”

Y.E.S. programs help open doors to opportunities that will become pillars that reinforce the future success of our children. Y.E.S. has five sub-programs that enable services to be tailored to the needs of each family seeking help. All children served are qualified to receive services – they meet the federal poverty guidelines.

Santa Claus Inc.’s mission is, “To provide critical services to youth in the Inland Empire by empowering children, thereby, strengthening the family unit through a variety of year-round and seasonal community based programs.”
