Location Leased in Redlands

The San Bernardino Community College District (SBCCD) has moved a large portion of their operations from San Bernardino to Redlands, leasing more than 12,000 square feet in an office complex on Bryn Mawr. The space has been redesigned to accommodate the 28 employees who provide the information technology services, including distance education provision, printing production and the graphic design work needed for the four divisions of the district, its two colleges (San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College), the Economic Development and Corporate Training Division, and KVCR FM/TV. “These administrative and technology services are vital to the operation of the SBCCD and the new facilities are centrally located and in great shape," said SBCCD Chancellor Bruce Baron. "Unfortunately, our previous location on 8th Street in San Bernardino, which we called "The Annex", had shown the wear and tear of time and we needed more space as well.” The annex had previously served as the SBCCD administrative office, and then in 2004, became the home of the various technology and printing services. “The new location is spacious enough to accommodate the very large printing presses and other machinery needed for our activities as well as permitting us to effectively organize our wide range of services," said Dr. Glen Kuck, associate vice chancellor of Technology and Educational Support Services. "It is also a very convenient location. For instance, the staff are very happy to have a variety of lunch choices right in the neighborhood.”
