Save Our Summer!’ K-FROG, LifeStream urge community to boost local blood supplies Friday, July 1

SAN BERNARDINO, CALIF. – The recent Orlando tragedy was yet another somber reminder of how critical it is to always have an ample community blood supply. LifeStream was approached and asked for help by the blood bank that serves the Orlando area following the shootings. Unfortunately, LifeStream couldn’t assist because there is a local shortage of blood, and local patients have to be the first priority. To help shore up local supplies during the critical summer months, 95.1 K-FROG and LifeStream are joining forces to ask local residents come forward on Friday, July 1 to “Save Our Summer!” LifeStream will be at Victoria Gardens Cultural Center, Rancho Cucamonga from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. K-FROG personalities Pepper (8 to 10 a.m.) and Kelli Green (10 a.m. to noon) will be on hand to greet and thank donors. Donors at Victoria Gardens receive two free movie tickets, a Baker’s Drive-Thru “Be Our Guest” meal card, and can enter to win a pair of tickets to the Lost Highway concert, featuring Brantley Gilbert, July 23 at San Manuel Amphitheater. LifeStream centers in San Bernardino, Ontario and Riverside are open 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. July 1; Victorville center hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donors also receive the movie tickets and Baker’s meal card and are automatically eligible to win a pair of SoCal City passes. Each pass is valid for one free admission to Legoland; one free admission to Sea World; and up to three days’ park hopper admissions to Disneyland/Disney California Adventure Park.
