San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies in Grand Terrace are asking stalking victims to contact authorities with any information they might have regarding reported stalking incidents near Blue Mountain Trails. On Saturday, Sept. 12, sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a man stalking a female on these hiking trails near Westwood Drive and Honeyhill Road in Grand Terrace, a sheriff's release states. Investigating deputies determined the suspect was a Hispanic male in his 40s, the release stated, with a dark complexion, light to medium build and shorter length dark hair. The release stated the suspect is alleged to frequent the area in a white van. The release also alleged that the suspect "has, on multiple occasions, used his saliva to draw hearts on the victims' vehicle windows while out on the trail." According to the release, deputies determined at least three occasions of offense, and apparently discovered that a second female "had what was believed to be seminal fluids left on her vehicle as well." The release further read, "Pursuant to investigation, a male was arrested in the area last year after she complained of harassment in the form of notes and flowers being left on her car while hiking." An investigating deputy secured a DNA sample for analysis to help determine the suspect's identity. Deputies are requesting any additional potential victims to contact the Sheriff's Department Central Station at 909-387-3545. Refer T. Hedy. Deputies remind residents to be cautious of their surroundings when hiking in secluded areas and to report any suspicious activity immediately to law enforcement.
