Three out of area men were arrested in Grand Terrace this week after they were found by deputies to be in possession of a loaded gun. On Aug. 18 at 8:43 a.m. Grand Terrace deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle and three suspicious persons, parked along the edge of the roadway on the 23000 block of Grand Terrace Road, officials said in an incident release. The reporting party told deputies the vehicle was unfamiliar and had been parked in that location for several hours. The witness told deputies the engine was still running and three passengers had been sitting inside the vehicle, slumped over and not moving, the release states. Responding deputies made contact with the three occupants, Keith Coppock, 22, Quran Crume, 22, and Austin Culler, 21. All the men were from Las Vegas. The men allegedly became "uncooperative and confrontational with the investigating deputy," the incident release states. Additional deputies responded to the incident and all three suspects were "removed from the vehicle and detained," according to the release. Deputies found a fully loaded semi-automatic handgun in the passenger compartment area of the vehicle, according to deputies. "All three suspects continued to be uncooperative with deputies," the release states, and all three were "arrested and transported to West Valley Detention Center for booking." Arrest records show both Culler and Crume were arrested for resisting arrest and were later released. As of Aug. 21, Coppock is still detained at West Valley Detention Center on charges of carrying a loaded firearm and resisting an executive officer on $25,000 bail.
