Moreno Valley Council Member Jeffrey Giba hosted a Java with Jeff event on Saturday, August 19 to provide information about economic development and other City programs. Giba represents Council District 2. Giba hosts a Java with Jeff event every two months to meet with constituents in a casual environment to listen to concerns and answer questions.

Staff from the Economic Development and Public Works departments also attended the August 19 event to provide detailed information about economic development activity and the new slurry seal program which will repair more than 100 streets in Moreno Valley. “I am always interested in hearing from residents and other stakeholders,” Giba said. “It was my honor to provide a comfortable setting where residents can share concerns, comments and opinions about District 2 or any other matter.” “I was impressed that our Councilman and City Staff spoke with us at length about the things that we care about,” said Virgil Chancy, who lives and owns a business in Moreno Valley. “I think that anyone who cares about Moreno Valley and who would like to have an opportunity to learn and ask questions should come to these meetings.”

Residents learned about new businesses coming to Moreno Valley, including Hyundai of Moreno Valley, Jerome’s Furniture, and The Habit Burger Grill, along with information about several new construction projects. More information about these and other new businesses coming to Moreno Valley can be found at www.morenovalleybusiness.com. The next Java with Jeff coffee event will be held in October.
