Unexpectedly Featured in TIME Magazine Online

Christina Adele Warburg, born and raised in Moreno Valley and a 2009 graduate from Canyon Springs High School, has aspired to be a Park Ranger since she was a second grader at Hidden Springs Elementary School. Right after high school, she attended George Fox University in Oregon and finished her last two years studying History/Political Science back in California at Cal Baptist University. In 2012, Warburg went after her dream with full force and moved to Wyoming. This past May, she fulfilled her goal, as she was hired to be a Park Ranger at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. "It was definitely a life-long dream of mine and I can say it's everything I hoped it to be," Warburg shared. It is safe to say that Warburg's career goals have definitely been met. However, she has accomplished multiple things that not even she saw coming. One of her favorite hobbies is photography, which she has encountered a lot of unexpected success from. Two of her recent photographs were currently featured in TIME Magazine online and she couldn't be more honored. "I was at work when I got the email that two of my photos were in TIME Magazine online and I probably yelled 'oh my gosh' a dozen times," she explained chuckling. "My co-workers kept asking what was going on. When I finally calmed down and explained what had happened to them, they were so excited for me." Even though her photography skills have proven to be nothing short of excellent, it is only just a hobby for her. She takes pictures of the beautiful Grand Teton Park where she works as a Park Ranger and simply posts her work on her Instagram page. Warburg's Instagram is filled with beautiful photographs of mountains, lakes, fields, and the overall beautiful scenery throughout Wyoming. She has already posted hundreds of her own pictures to her page, and it sure has got some attention. "After I posted them, I guess they just took off from there," she explained. A humble Warburg said, "I take so many pictures everyday and it's so beautiful here. When you take so many, some of them are bound to be really good." In her senior year at Canyon Springs High School, Warburg took a photography class. "I took the class for fun, but you can definitely say it sparked my interest," she said. The rest of her photography talents have simply been self-taught. She explained, "Since I take pictures everyday, I guess I just slowly taught myself the stuff I know now... it's not really difficult stuff." The pictures that are now featured on TIME Magazine online were products of an every-day photo-shoot to her. "It's not too difficult. I used a tri-pod for both of them and used manual settings," she explained. Due to the extreme clearness and the naturally-vibrant colors, people assume she uses photo-shop or an app on her phone to filter the pictures before she posts them. "People always ask me, 'what app do you use?', but I don't use an app, or filter, and I don't edit them at all," she said. "It's really just the beautiful scenery here in Wyoming and at Grand Teton Park."
