Two Broadway musicals, a cherished Christmas classic, four family favorites, a new biblical musical and an inspirational drama will headline a silver anniversary season of celebration at LifeHouse Theater.

“We want the silver anniversary of LifeHouse to be most memorable and it’s so exciting to offer a diverse selection of family entertainment sure to inspire and uplift audiences of all ages,” commented LifeHouse Theater President Wayne R. Scott.  “We remain committed to providing fun, high-quality theater experiences that are affordable for the thousands of families visiting LifeHouse.”

Season Passes for LifeHouse Theater’s 2018-2019 25th season of nine shows are available now at a special discounted price of $153 for adults and $81 for children ages 3-11.  This limited time special discounted rate will be good through May 31, 2018.  Passes may be purchased over the phone with a Visa, MasterCard or Discover card by calling 909-335-3037 or online at boxoffice.lifehousetheater.com.  Passes may also be purchased in person at the box office on Fridays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and one hour prior and during performance times on the weekends.

“This season is our ‘Season of Remembrance,’” explains Scott.  “As past blessings are recalled, there is a thread of thankfulness woven through the upcoming productions of our new season.  As a theater company, we, too, remember with gratitude the many guests and volunteers who have sustained LifeHouse through twenty-five seasons.

The 25th season will be launched with a classic Broadway musical masterpiece, Lerner and Lowe’s “My Fair Lady.” (October 13 – November 11, 2018).  This retelling of the well known George Bernard Shaw play “Pygmalion” is gloriously triumphant and beloved the world over.  This tale of a cockney flower girl transformed into an elegant lady features one of musical theater’s greatest scores and witty commentary about social class and appearances.

LifeHouse celebrates the Christmas season with the return of the award-winning original musical, “It’s a Wonderful Life” (November 24 - December 23, 2018).  The unforgettable folks of Bedford Falls come to life on stage in this toe-tapping tribute to a beloved American tale.  The true Spirit of Christmas touches George Bailey and all who witness his amazing encounter with a wayward angel.  This cherished Christmas classic features all the sights and sounds of the season from beginning to heartwarming end.

The New Year is ushered in with a jazzy new musical of love and redemption as LifeHouse premieres the poignant tale, “Prodigal Son” (January 5 - 27, 2019).  Audiences will experience a fresh take on the biblical parable as the story of the Prodigal Son unfolds against the backdrop of a 1930’s jazz club. This musical depiction of the timeless tale of love and forgiveness shines with inspirational joy and relevance for today.

LifeHouse then welcomes the return of its smash-hit original musical, “Phantom of the Opera”  (February 9 - March 17, 2019).  Guests will witness young Christine Daae’s rise to fame in the opera world, thanks to the schemes of the ominous Phantom.  Sinister plots, comedic interplay, romance, mystery and adventure combine for a spellbinding theater experience as Gaston Leroux’s novel springs to life on stage.

An amazing musical journey follows with “Pilgrim’s Progress” (February 24 - March 25, 2018).  Based on the immortal bestselling classic by John Bunyan, this stylish hit production features the sojourner, Christian, whose travels lead him to fantastic realms of wonder and thrilling encounters with angels, devils and giants.  Plots and pitfalls abound as Christian doggedly seeks refuge in the dazzling Celestial City.  Eclectic musical styles, captivating dance and imaginative staging punctuate this inspirational story.

Next, LifeHouse takes audiences on a theatrical voyage of a lifetime to “Treasure Island” (May 11 - June 9, 2019).  This award-winning musical sets sail with Jim Hawkins and a scurvy crew of renegade pirates in a musical search for a fortune in hidden treasure.  Faithful to the classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, the production features comical complications, treacherous treason and suspenseful adventure amidst hopeful  themes of redemption.

A practically perfect nanny follows as LifeHouse presents for the first time, Disney’s “Mary Poppins” (June 22 - July 21, 2019).  One of the most popular Broadway musicals of all time, based on the famed P. L. Travers’ book series and the classic Disney movie, delightfully brings to life Mary, the Banks family, Burt the chimney-sweep, and all their adventures of joyous imagination.  An enchanting mixture of irresistible songs and breathtaking dance numbers are crafted to make this family favorite an unforgettable experience.

Then, Victor Hugo’s astonishing masterpiece of literature storms the LifeHouse stage in an original dramatic presentation of his stirring story, “Les Miserablès: A New Drama” (August 3 - September 1, 2019).   Guests will witness the remarkable trials of Jean Valjean as he falls from grace and rises to redemption amidst the historic events of nineteenth century France.

The season concludes with the return of a funny family favorite, “Cinderella” (September 14 - October 20, 2019).   Audiences will experience a musical journey to a fantasy kingdom “once upon a time” in the world’s best known fairy tale.  An angelic but wacky Godmother assists Cinderella’s quest for true love in a comical realm featuring a scheming stepmother, silly stepsisters, a bumbling king and a pumpkin full of surprises delightful for all ages.
