Angie Lopez, 87, of Colton died September 27, 2017.  Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt passed away at home. She was a life-long resident of Colton, California. Angie was the owner of Leon’s Beauty Centre located in the La Cadena Center in Colton, as well as in Highland and Rialto.

Angie is survived by her two daughters Cynthia of Long Beach and Linda of Beaumont, California, two grandkids Angelina of Long Beach and Ramiro Saldana Jr. of Carlsbad, brothers George Leon, Joe Leon, Tom Leon, and Roy Leon of Colton, brother Jerry Leon of Tucson, Arizona, sisters Ermalinda Moya and Theresa Leon, both of Colton. She loved her family above all else.

She graduated from Colton High School in 1951, went onto a cosmetology trade school successfully graduating and had a thriving career for over 40 years. She married LeRoy Lopez of San Bernardino in January 1956, who preceded her in death in June 1994.

Angie had an amazing life and gave her everything until the very end. Her final wish was to be at home surrounded by her family, her garden, everything she worked so hard for and was most dear to her. After a month-long stay at Redlands Community Hospital, Angie’s wish was granted. At home in Colton, she continued her fight for three additional months before she peacefully died in her sleep with family by her side.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 11th at Montecito Memorial Park 3520 E. Washington Street, Colton. Viewing begins at 930am, services at 11am, burial to follow where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
