On Saturday, June 1, from 3-9 p.m., the City of Grand Terrace will host Grand Terrace Community Day, at Richard Rollins Park. Community Day is a long-standing tradition in Grand Terrace in which the entire community comes together on the first Saturday, in June, for food, fun and entertainment. This year’s event will feature a car show, on-stage entertainment, a live musical performance by the Traveling Homeboys, the “Taste of Terrace” featuring cuisine from local restaurants, a Craft Corner featuring handmade arts, crafts and jewelry, the Grand Terrace Rodeo, a screening of “Ralph Breaks the Internet” and more.

The event will kick off at 3 p.m., with a performance by the Grand Terrace High School Band. There will be community entertainment throughout the day, as well as a live musical performance by The Traveling Homeboys, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The “Taste of Terrace” featuring food from local restaurants will take place from 3 – 4 p.m. Guests may taste food samplings from their favorite restaurants then jump on the Blue Mountain Silver Liner shuttle bus for transportation between the park and the restaurant of their choice for lunch or dinner. This year’s event will feature over 40 booths hosting games, providing giveaways and raising funds for various causes. Included in the booths at this year’s event is the addition of the Craft Corner, where guests may find local hand-crafted items for sale. Thrill seekers may try their luck on the mechanical bull, at the Grand Terrace Rodeo, or watch on as local non-profits compete for their chance at $200 for being the top rider. Guests may enjoy the event car show with awards to be announced, as well as participate in contests such as the tug-of-war, water balloon toss, potato sack race, musical chairs and watermelon eating contest. Finally, the night will conclude with a screening of Ralph Breaks the Internet, starting at 8 p.m.

This wonderful tradition is fun for the whole family. To receive updates on event participant information, activities, parking, and the event schedule, visit TinyURL.com/GTCD2019.
