Redlands>>The public is invited to have a swinging good time with Matt Mauser and the Pete Jacobs 12-piece Sinatra Tribute Big Band in the Kimberly Crest gardens on June 17th.

Their collaboration captures Sinatra at the height of his career when singing with The Count Basie Orchestra at The Sands hotel in Las Vegas. Matt’s vocal style and Pete’s genius as a conductor are a tribute to the two greats coming together.

“While there are plenty of tribute acts and impersonators of legendary entertainer Frank Sinatra, Mauser, born and raised in Huntington Beach, takes it to a level beyond," said the Orange County Register.

As the lead singer of the popular Southern California rock band “The Tijuana Dogs”, Matt Mauser has been entertaining audiences with his unique style since the late 90’s. As the Tijuana Dogs grew in popularity, the band was often asked to perform at weddings, corporate parties, and events that required a more sophisticated style of music. It was during that time when Matt fell in love with the music of Frank Sinatra. Mesmerized by Sinatra’s smooth voice and unequaled phrasing, Matt memorized the subtleties in each song Frank sang.

Matt has played for politicians such as Vice President Dick Cheney, famous athletes like Peyton Manning and John Lynch and celebrities such as Gwen Stefani. He has opened for bands such as: KC and the Sunshine Band, Pat Benatar, Cheap Trick, Florida Georgia Line, Hootie and the Blowfish, Poison and Lynard Skynard.

Pete Jacobs was born in Claremont, California. He was a music major at Azusa Pacific University and then went on to a highly successful career as a producer and music arranger. In 1997, he formed a 16-piece big band called “Wartime Radio Revue”. This band has performed across the Unites States and Europe, and includes performances at New York’s Lincoln Center, Disneyland and the Hollywood Bowl.

“Matt is a true entertainer. The energy that he brings to the stage is unparalleled and the power of the 12-piece orchestra behind him will make this event one that cannot be missed,” said Laurie Tremain, Kimberly Crest Docent.

Lawn seating and table Terrace seating is available. Lawn seating is $35 and guests will need to bring their own blankets or chairs. Table Terrace seating is $55. Boxed meals are also available for purchase and are $15.

Boxed meal sales end June 14th at 2 p.m. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
