MORENO VALLEY>> The Moreno Valley Animal Shelter will provide a low-cost rabies vaccination, dog licensing and microchip clinic on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Other routine vaccinations will also be offered during the clinic. All dogs at the clinic must be on a leash and under the control of an adult at all times. If a dog is aggressive or in heat, the animal shelter says they should not be brought to the clinic. Special pricing will be honored at a later date for those dogs that cannot be brought to the event for these reasons. The Moreno Valley Animal Shelter & Animal Clinic is located at 14041 Elsworth Street in Moreno Valley. Rabies vaccinations will be provided at the cost of $6 per vaccination. All vaccinations must be paid in cash or by debit card and checks are not accepted by the animal clinic. For added convenience to residents, City of Moreno Valley dog licenses will also be sold during the vaccination clinic. All dogs residing in the City must be licensed and licenses may be paid by cash, check or debit card. The cost for license with altered dog discount is $15 for one year, $27 for two years and $34 for three years. License without altered dog discount is $52 for one year, $84 for two years and $105 for three years. HomeAgain microchips for dogs and cats will also be offered during the event for only $10. Dogs must be licensed to qualify for this discount. The $10 fee covers the cost of the chip, owner registration and service to implant the chip. Microchips provide pets with the protection of permanent identification if your pet becomes lost or stolen. Since 2015, City Ordinances mandate that all dogs and cats in Moreno Valley be microchipped. For more information about these pet adoption promotions, contact the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter at 951.413.3790 or visit the city's web site at www.moval.org and click on "Animal Shelter".
