Center for Spiritual Living Brings Music to the Community

The Center for Spiritual Living in San Bernardino recently held a free music concert last month, featuring Bob “Bobcat” Fraley, Stuche and Sons. According to Spiritual Leader George Honn, the Center strives to bring different types of music to the neighborhood through free events in hopes to bring the community together. “It could be monthly or quarterly. We always try to present a variety of music and have the venue open to the whole community,” Honn shared. All attendees have the ability to give a “love donation” that will go to the musicians for the night, but it is optional. Community members were not only welcomed with a free music concert, but there were also refreshments available for attendees. With the help of Bob Fraley, Stuche, and sons, the Center of Spiritual Living brought in about 20 interested community members that wanted to listen, sing-along and have a good time. “We really want them to come out and not only check out our location, but have a good night while listening to these talented people we bring in. We want more community involvement, and more of our neighbors to come out,” he added. “We’re happy it’s starting to grow.” Honn shared that he’s been friends with Bob “Bobcat” Fraley for a few years now. Since Honn plays bass guitar himself, he joins the performers on stage for a brief session. “It gives me the opportunity to get up there and strut my stuff,” he said while chuckling. The Center for Spiritual Living tries to put on free music events for the community multiple times a year. Honn shared that the next concert might be featuring a Beatles band. They’ve supported many other genres of music before including: Jazz music, Bluegrass music, Folk music and more.
