36th Annual Grand Terrace Country Fair

On Saturday, November 4, 2017 the City of Grand Terrace will host its 36th country fair, bringing the community together for some old-fashioned fun. From 9a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grand Terrace City Hall Civic Center, vendors who live or work in Grand Terrace will be selling hand-made items and home-grown plants. There will also be a baking contest and chili cook-off. Come sample prize-winning home-cookin’! Food entries will be sold in individual portions after judging is completed at very reasonable prices.

Fairgoers will also be able to buy used books from the “Friends of the Library” sale, with proceeds going toward buying new books and DVDs for check out in the library.

Some of the unique features of this event are handmade quilts and crochet work, various craft items, toys, woodworking, gourd art, home décor, jewelry, and many more one of a kind treasures and Christmas gifts. You’ll also find home-grown plants and produce, hand-carved walking sticks with intricate details, and much more.

Various community organizations will also be on hand to meet with the public and answer questions. They include the Grand Terrace Lions’ Club, Citizens’ Patrol, the local 4-H club, Chamber of Commerce, and Boy Scouts.

 

The fair will take place at 22795 Barton Road in Grand Terrace. The event is sponsored by the Grand Terrace Historical and Cultural Activities Committee.
