MORENO VALLEY >> For the third year in a row, California Baptist University came home with the PacWest Women's Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year award. Three different Lancers have earned the honor since 2014, and it was Jenna Perry's turn when the PacWest released the accolades on Tuesday afternoon. Five of the 10 conference nominees posted grade point averages of 3.90 or higher, but Perry was the only one in the group to earn NCAA Division II All-American honors this season, as well. It earned Perry co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year distinction with Dixie State libero Alex Anderson. CBU's Michelle Waber and Jelena Dragovic were the respective conference Scholar-Athletes of the Year in 2014 and 2013. Perry gave the Lancers an All-American in 10 of the past 11 years this past season after being named a national honoree by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. The liberal studies major was a first-team selection in the West Region by the AVCA and a second-teamer in the PacWest. The opposite hitter solidified herself as the No. 2 threat for a kill or block on the CBU roster in 2015. The junior amassed 354 kills (3.37 a set) on a .285 percentage, and produced the second-most blocks on the team with 95 (0.90 a set). Perry had 10 or more kills in 22 of 27 matches, 13 or more in 17 matches and had a career-high 25 kills on a .373 percentage against Point Loma. She had at least one block in every match, at least three in 21 matches and five or more in four matches, with a career-high seven on two occasions.
